CURRENT MISSION

I'm in a long distance relationship (I know, bad idea XD) with a Californian girl and after a year and a half of closed borders due to the pandemic, we Europeans can finally travel to the US. So I'm very excited to see her again after so long!

ABOUT ME

I was born in Sagunto, a small town in Spain, which was scenery of an epic battle between the Roman Empire and the Carthaginians led by Hannibal in 200 b.C.. I spent the first 5 years of my life in Düsseldorf, a city in Germany, because my parents (both from Spain) worked there. Since the weather was too rainy and we had had enough Kartoffeln for the next century (just kidding), we decided to return back to Spain, where we had left our beloved family and friends. Unluckily, during those years in Germany, I had somehow caught the german unability to get tanned. Nevertheless, I kept good memories of their beer, so I decided to study in Aachen, a city near the former capital of the Federal Republic of Germany. I have been working for the past 5 years as a mechanical engineer in Aachen. Now that the lockdowns are loosening up, I want to seize the opportunity to go abroad, reunite with my girlfriend and meet new people!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To be honest, I think you need to meet locals when you travel abroad to immerse yourself in their culture. Also, finding accomodation in California without having to sell your kidney is mission impossible. I'm looking forward to meeting you, learning from you and sharing with you experiences to keep growing as an open-minded person :)

Interests

I like sports, going out for a beer (IPA if possible), watching movies, playing board games, or just hanging out... whatever you want!
