ABOUT ME

Im a PE and science teacher for high school atm, working in a small country town about an hour north of perth.

Ive lived 2 years in the Netherlands (noord holland) where i was working as a nanny, and 1 year in Germany (Bautzen) as a Rotary exchange student. Im planning on going away next year again, just dont know where! see where the jobs are! just know that i have to indulge my inner gypsy n get back on the road!

PHILOSOPHY

Just like to have a good time with good ppl! i love good music, food and wine... if im drunk enough i like bad music, food and wine :P

Dont wait for someones funeral to give them flowers... if you have something nice to say then say it. who cares if someone thinks youre cracking onto them or want something? its their problem if theyre too cynical to take a compliment.

everyone has to believe in something, and thats what i believe in. also thast wine and cheese or chocolate will fix any problem.

nobody likes a smartarse...

you can learn something from everyone you meet... even if its only that you dont wanna be a wang like they are! conversation gets you a long way, talk to ppl, and listen. ask questions!

dont be scared to break outta ur comfort zone or circle of friends, sometimes its the only thing holding you back..

I host, I surfed on some travels and plan on surfing more!

I attend events held by the Perth group, we hold our own parties sometimes too :)

Im also often driving travellers around on trips throughout WA! love weekend trips away!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Ive hosted quite a bit, in Amsterdam and also in Perth, and will continue to host for a while! there are too many to name here!!

Interests

shopping, reading, travelling, hanging out in cafes/bars, chilling with friends, street art, wine, food, cooking, playing guitar, tropical fruit, strong cocktails, palm trees, european architechture, flowers, cheese, fresh bread, riding my bike, eating breakfast with the windows open, bbqs, coconut scented things, having long hair, big dogs, chill music, coffee, foreign films, chips and beer on the couch...

Drinking wine, eating food I can learn from (food is an essential part of culture!).. combining the 2 to create a table full of food and wine/beer/bourbon/whatever to get a good conversation going, as well as interesting ppl to keep the conversation going. Travelling alone, or with ppl i meet along the way, but i need my freedom too much. i wish places would serve breakfast until 11 instead of 10 so i dont have to set my alarm...

i love to read about places where im not, places i want to go... places of political instability, that i cant visit and need to learn about thru books and movies... places that im not brave enough to go on my own..

i love ppl with adventure, who are spontaneous and want to do different things all the time. spending all my money on booze is geting really boring. but sometimes its still really fun ;) i wanna travel, take photos, try new food, buy street art and go shopping in random cool little shops for one off little things...

but travelling isnt everything... i need to have a good quality of life in between travels. i cant just work my arse off and have no life while im waiting to get money for a trip. i love life, i want most days to be pretty awesome. the days that arent awesome, are just, fine days. and thats ok too ;) im probably hungover on those days anyway :D

books are the same, i read alot, atm i seem to be into historical fiction based in england, but anything historical is interesting to me!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

taking the first step and travelling alone to germany when i was 17... scary at first, but ended up making me a much stronger person and now i cant stop packing up my stuff and leaving!

realising that having fun and being happy without expecations, worrying or being self concious draws ppl to you without you even trying. ppl can sense someone whos happy with who they are.

Teach, Learn, Share

I wanna learn to swing those poi things! i learned a little bit in Hervey Bay a few years ago but it was ages ago, and its fun!

I can teach you dutch... or to cook... i know alot of random shit, im good at quiznights!
