About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live my life helping others less fortunate than I

ABOUT ME

The words I’d used to describe myself are adventurous, optimistic, compassionate, people-oriented, as opposed to materialistic, and non-religious but spiritualistic, with one eye on the hereafter. I avoid negativity and focus on the positive because I believe that our mental state determines the kinds of things, whether good or bad, that happen to us in our lives.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live my life recalling the words of Nathan C. Schaeffer: "At the close of life the question will be not, how much have you got, but how much you have given, not how much you have won, but how much you have done, not how much you have saved, but how much you have sacrificed, how much you have loved and served, not how much you were honored." We live this life to prepare for what is ahead, and how we treat others is crucial. Serving others before ourselves is a sure ticket to a happy and prosperous life here on earth as well as entrance into paradise when our mission in this life has been accomplished.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Summer of '11 I visited a couch surfer friend in Cambodia who had a houseful of surfers from 4 different countries staying with him all at the same time. (Big house!) I became one of the crowd and realized what a great way couch surfing is to make new friends and meet people from all over the world.

Interests

It's not possible for me to list all of my interests because they are infinite. My English conversation textbooks are collections of discussion topics ranging from the Afterlife to UFOs and everything in between, encompassing science, the environment, politics, financial and social issues. I invest in precious metals, silver in particular, and I am mesmerized by the hereafter because of the after-death dialog I am having with a deceased buddy I've not seen since college. In 2010 our dialog increased in intensity after he appeared to a psychic friend who was previously unaware of his existence, taking him to be an intruder until he identified himself as "Jack's friend". Altho he died at age 44, she identified him as looking identical to a photo taken at age 22 (see photos). He appeared as solid as we are and as indistinguishable from any normal living person except for the fact that he spoke without moving his lips.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Nothing I’ve ever done can match what I’ve been doing for the past 4 years, which is carrying on a 2-way dialog with my best buddy in this life (see photos) who died over 20 years ago. I speak aloud to him and he responds by leaving signs such as electrical/electronic malfunctions or moving objects to places where nobody else would ever think of putting them. Anyone who thinks this is impossible is dead (pun) wrong. My house is a showcase of objects he has put in bizarre locations. He has completely rearranged my kitchen utensils, one thing at a time, now averaging about 2 per week.

Jim’s presence was validated in 2010 by a friend’s sister who has a psychic gift. Jeanie not only saw him but also spoke with him...3 times...while I was staying there for a visit. She had no prior knowledge of Jim and thought he was an intruder until he said, "It's okay, I'm Jack's friend". The details of those visits are riveting, and the physical description Jeanie gave of Jim at age 22 was perfect to the letter.
