About Me

A big traveler who's been to 25 countries, mostly Europe, loves to read (about a book or two a week, but mostly light fiction before you're impressed), not a big pet person but like other people's pets, married to my best friend, loves meeting new people with new thoughts and ideas, real easy to get along with, wants to try everything at least once, thinks meerkats are great, tries to make great friendships everywhere I land, not a big fan of cigarettes and smoke.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet people who want the experience of meeting new people, having new experiences, and learning things about others and themselves.

Music, Movies, and Books

elbow, Midlake, Coldplay, daft punk, bands that sound like 80's pop, hammock, Hymns From Nineveh, Ahmad Jamal, new grass, not really big on hip hop/rap but LOVE good soul music i.e. Laura Mvula, electronica loungey stuff like Tycho/Zero 7/Junip etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Been a keynote speaker to a group of 16,000

Teach, Learn, Share

I travel the country teaching about post-modernity to mostly mainline churchy audiences. I'm a Christian... sort of... at least by my own definition, not by the weird dipshits who say and do weird shit and call it christianity when it really is more about their political:nationalistic:moralistic agenda. And I'm a big friend to atheists, buddhists, muslims, taoists and everything in between, so don't let "Christian" freak you out.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm way low-maintenance, don't need a palace, very easy going, easy to get along with, and really just like getting to know people. I don't mind a beer or two, but not a "stay out till 2am doing shots" guy, don't need to be entertained, easy to hang out with
