About Me

I graduated college recently and have been living at home for some time since. In between, I hiked the Pacific Crest Trail, which was awesome, but I returned home and didn't know what to do with myself. Recently, I have been itching to get away. My plan, if you can call it that, is to drive west on the little savings I have, and get a job in Denver or Salt Lake, or somewhere in that area. I plan on going to Law School in the near future, just need to get back on my feet for a bit. I dabble in writing, I like new places, old friends, and getting to know new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

See above. I am traveling out west from the east coast and want to save a bit of money, meet people, and get a real sense of the places in this country that I am traveling through.

Interests

I love to ski. I love the outdoors. I follow most sports. I'm a big Red Sox and Patriots fan, but I am not obnoxious about it (at least I think). I try to write in my free time. I am a pretty big reader.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music--I've been listening to a lot of the alt-J pandora station recently. Classic rock, Zeppelin, Cat Stevens, David Bowie, newer stuff--Ratatat, Cake, a bit of Sufjan, there's always new stuff I hear that I like. I'm not a music buff, but I'm definitely a fan.
Movies--I thought Boyhood should have taken the Oscar over Birdman, although I liked both. I am always into a mind f--k flick. Avatar, the first time I saw it--not the second. I've seen each Lord of the Rings movie over ten times. Gladiator, and of course I'm forgetting some.
Books--hmm. I really liked "My Struggle" by Knausgaard (not Hitler), obligatory Harry Potter, I read Redwall as a kid, The Picture of Dorian Gray has great dialogue, Russian literature-- Dostoevsky, Tolstoy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hiked the Pacific Crest Trail, like the movie Wild. Except I haven't seen the movie, yet. It was really cool, pretty tiring, like anything there were good parts and bad parts.

Teach, Learn, Share

All 3? I like to learn and I wish I had done more when I was in school. I read a lot of history stuff now.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, France, Italy, Puerto Rico

Countries I’ve Lived In
