About Me

I have the wonderful opportunity to take my Spring semester off from classes to travel the world with my friend Stavan. I am excited to see many different places and experience the sights and cultures of each place I visit. I became interested in travelling when I studied abroad this past summer in Metz, France and travelled to different cities every weekend.
When I am not travelling I am in school at Georgia Institute of Technology studying Industrial Engineering and participating in the investments committee. I am considering adding a Computer Science, Industrial Design, or Entrepreneurship minor.
This past fall I got the opportunity to intern for Delta Airlines as an Operations Engineering Intern in the Cargo division.
I enjoy reading, hiking, exploring, and am always up for and adventure.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I said, I am looking forward to experiencing the culture of the places I visit and meeting locals. I think a perfect way to do this (while saving money too!) is to use the generosity of the people of the site. I look forward to being able to having the ability to having interesting conversations with my host and of course finding out where some good cafes and restaurants are if there are any music events or entertainment events going on, what underrated places in the city to see, and where people hang out for nightlife. When I return back from my travels, I hope to in turn host of people from across the globe who need a place to stay.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: There is little I don't like. My favorite bands right now are The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Tame Impala, Grateful Dead, and The Allman Brothers.

Movies: I love independent films, I love Wes Anderson Films, I love movies about Artificial Intelligence. My favorite movie right now is the film titled 'Her'.

Books: I enjoy reading non-fiction books that make me think and help me discover more about the world. Right now I am reading a book on the history of Psychology, a book on the future of Artificial Intelligence, a book about Emotional Intelligence, and a book about the thinking about the present as if it were the past. I also occasionally read fiction and have enjoyed reading Crime and Punishment and The Call of The Wild.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

in 2016, I got the amazing opportunity to travel to the Dominican Republic to help build latrines and give food to those who needed it most. This was my first time travelling outside of the United States and I was amazed by the poor conditions the people were living in. Despite their conditions, I was impressed to find that everyone had a great outlook on life and was gracious of our services.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I hope I can share with my host all of my respect for their accommodation and gratefulness for their generosity and any help they may need. I also hope that I can share interesting conversation and stories as well.
