About Me

Save money, study and move to a new place and start a new adventure.

"Jay is Fun, crazy, great company, the energy in the room, experimental..."

I have really changed as a person since I began travelling in 2011. I have lived in Canada and the UK, travelled around the USA, South America and parts of Europe and obviously barely scratched the surface.

There have been so many amazing experiences and people along the way. After 3 years I now live back in Melbourne with my girlfriend which I met in London while living there (see her CS profile: Mandi Ackman)

I am very easy going and get along with most people. Absolutely love couchsurfing after the few awesome opportunities I had. It is now my turn to pay it back and Host surfers who want to enjoy Melbourne.

Enjoy and take on as many new experiences as possible!

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

I only recently found out about this community, so my current hope is to be able to surf for a while around the world and when settled in turn pay it forward!

I have surfed with a few unique and wonderful people so far. I have enjoyed all my experiences in various locations around the world. As soon as I am able to host myself, I will :)

I enjoy music, traveling, meeting new and interesting people, new experiences, new cuisines, cultures, languages (would love to learn French, Japanese and Spanish), drinking, having a good laugh and hanging with friends.

Music, Movies & Books

I'm in to all types of music. Love movies, I watch all kinds but my favorites are probably Action, Comedy and Romance haha

One Amazing Thing I've Done

So many now that I have travelled around the world a bit more... Traveling through Cambodia, visiting the temples and getting to explore them was an amazing experience! Also got to be at Angkor Wat for a sunrise! Machu Picchu trek Touring the United States Snowboarding in Canada and New Zealand Caving in Budapest Exit festival in Serbia Horseback ride through the vineyards in Tuscany Ate so much Italian ice cream and gelato because it's a crime not to Visited one of the smallest countries in the world, San Marino Walked along Cinque Terre in Italy Snorkelling in Bali and the Great Barrier Reef Zip lining in Peru Staying 2 nights in the Amazon Jungle Road tripping across Argentina Living in London Parasailing at Lake Wanaka in New Zealand So much more...

Teach, Learn, Share

Always looking for something new to learn. Its been a while since I was at school and it seems learning things doesn't happen quite as frequently nowadays haha. I now can cook chicken pretty well and have some great tales to tell.

Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Cambodia, Canada, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Indonesia, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, Switzerland, Thailand, United States, Viet Nam
