ABOUT ME

Widely travelled...worked with homoeopathy and acupunture in India, Sri Lanka and Nepal.Loved New York. Written a book on suicide and as to the whys.Took my two children around Europe in a camper van for 3 years...they did well in geography when they eventually went to school! Humour..yes! And healthy eating!A vegetarian but not overly fanatical.
Have an innate restlessness and need to keep discovering and enjoying the world. Love animals and dislike cruelty in amy form. Horses are a big favourite.Flowers..tulips,daisies,foxgloves.
Last year walked the Camino de Compostela Santiago. 800 kms in 30 days.Rode a Royal Enfield motorbike aorund Bhutan.Adore nature and the bush but also love some city life.
Presently am a support worker for resettlement of Bhutanese refugees here in Nelson along with doing life stories for the Hospice.
Colour is important to me....tired of all the black out there!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Haven't couch surfed myself as have just discovered it. Had my first experience of surfing....he was so lovely and great to have around. So, I'm hooked on the idea.

Interests

Writing and reading..oh, I do so love books. Walking at a fast-ish pace..none of that strolling!
Wish I could be a better gardener...wild flowers, daisies, hollyhocks and the like.
Travel...of course.
My friends are important...and coffee....and the odd wine.

Books..seem to always end up with non-fiction or biographies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Saw a tiny newly born street baby eaten by a BIG rat in India! Well, didn't actually see it been eaten but saw its feet in the gutter and people killing the rat. Just so horrible. But I guess, that's life.
