About Me
I'll give you an anti-definition - I don't have netflix or any other streaming service, I don't have spotify or any other music service thing, I don't have any social media platforms or apps or whatever (with one or two almost-exceptions, like couchsurfing, and one or two forums), I try not to use any propietary software at all actually. I don't have a driving licence and am looking forward to never getting one if I can.
I do explore the worlds of music and film and series though, just on my own terms. I do also communicate with people, just not on a big monopoly platforms sucking up people's data. I like technology very much, but am wary of communications technology and massive centralised power-hungry companies dictating my (our) time.
I'd like our species to survive as long as possible, at least until we explore our solar system more, we are (or can be) wonderful.
I've worked as a barman, a bike courier, and a teacher giving private classes (mathematics, English, piano, flute, etc). I love learning, very much, and my current obsession is computers, and free software and hardware (as in, freedom). Any chess people out there, please come stay with me, too.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Myself and a friend cycled around Ireland when 17 years old for 3 weeks camping, visited some Irish music festivals, stayed with friends around the place, many strange adventures were had! I was also lucky enough to get to stay with a host family in Japan for 5 months as well, one amazing thing there was getting to eat fugu, like homer on the simpsons that time he thought he'd eaten the poisonous part. It tasted pretty dull, and I didn't die, but sure it's about the experience. Oh, I once went to a full-on Polish wedding and drank vodka with the kings of vodka, it was legendary!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Not wifi, we've no wifi in the house. If Charlotte is around, she can maybe hotspot you, and there's cafes with internet around the place.
Otherwise, my thoughts and excitement!
