Overview
About Me
I'm a 35 year old British guy living in Montreal where I work as an epidemiologist for the Public Health Agency of Canada. For several years I travelled almost constantly in a very cheap and rough way, including hitchhiking the entire way from Alaska to the far south of Chile, but now I'm much more settled and happy mostly staying in one place. I like to hike, camp, read and drink beer with my friends in the park.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Freight-hopped across the Sahara desert in an open-topped carriage on an iron ore train in Mauritania, north west Africa. Hundreds of kilometres of untouched sand dunes interrupted only occasionally when we passed through an oasis town with a few buildings and some locals sheltering from the sun underneath date trees. Magical experience!
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: chess, epidemiology, London slang.
Learn: anything about the outdoors, I'm kind of a useless city boy!
