About Me

Hiya, I'm 31 and travelling RTW with my husband.

In April 2019, we quit & sold everything to escape the chaos of city life and embark on a year-long adventure around-the-world for our honeymoon 👰🏻 .

I’m a Project Manager, with experience in operations & events. I also started my own side-hustle as a Personal Development coach supporting women & young adults from disadvantaged backgrounds.

I've wanted to travel ever since my mum hosted exchange students when we were young. I am one of 5 children 👶👶🏻👶🏽👶🏼👶 so, you can imagine how chaotic our house was with up to 5 exchange students as well as all of us!

I loved it! I loved meeting all of the travellers, hearing about their home countries and was inspired to see the world myself one day - and here I am 🗺 .

A few more things about me: I’m an avid advocate for diversity and inclusion in business 👩🏻‍⚖️; passionate about self-development, health and well-being; environmentally conscious 🌳and a vegetarian 🌱; I enjoy running 🏃🏻‍♀️ (completes the Brighton Marathon), hiking 🥾, cycling 🚴🏼‍♀️ and I practise yoga 🧘🏻‍♀️.

Jamie, my husband, is a front-end web developer 👨🏻‍💻 and worked for the Natural History Museum in London. He loves animals 🐼🐱🐶 and has spent most of our travels getting to know every animal we come across. He’s a comic and sci-fi nerd 🦸🏻‍♂️, loves anything Marvel related, and he wants to go into space one day🔭. He is PADI qualified as a Rescue Diver 🥽 and loves to get under the waves 🏄‍♂️ , and also spent 8 years training in Ju Jitsu and Judo 🥋.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We heard about this site from a few travelling buddies and fell in love with the concept.

We're looking for ways to further immerse ourselves into the places and cultures we goa

And when we are back in London, we would love the opportunity to give back and host fellow travellers who come our way.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite books...easy: My Passport, Harry Potter & The Power of Now

Movies: Legends of the Falls, Avatar and The Lord of the Rings. We loved Game of Thrones - that ending though 🤦🏻‍♀️

Music; anything I can dance too!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Doing this...travelling the world in my year of 30 with the love of my life!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to share ideas & travel tips, particular whilst sharing food & wine!

We love to share our love of chocolate and s’mores!

I love to laugh & bring positivity & joy to everything I do.

I enjoy practicing yoga with others and helping people make the changes they need to make to their mindset, emotions & daily actions, to live the life they really want!

I love to learn just about anything but, in particular:
- Spanish;
- the history, culture and politics of the places I visit;
- environmental sustainability and conscious-living;
- new ways of living and working;
- well-being, self-development and productivity;
- how to surf and learn some form of martial arts;
- yoga & mindfulness techniques.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm no cook, in fact, I mostly tend to set things on fire when I try.

However, I love visiting new places to eat and drink especially with others and so, if someone is willing to host us and show us their favourite places in town to go, we'd be delighted to buy them a drink and a burger [or insert any other food group] as thanks!

Jamie's also a whizz on computery stuff and so, if they need any technical help he'd be happy to give it a go or if they’ve got a home-project that we can help out on we'd love to help if we can.

Countries I’ve Visited
