Born and raised in Ottawa, my travel was limited. After five years in the Canadian government I realized I needed to make things happen, and if I wanted to see the world. I've been making it happen since - and plan on continuing to do so.

I am traveling with my girlfriend, Phoebe, this spring!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am a newcomer to the CS community, although a friend in Ottawa has been pushin me to join for years. As I am traveling now, I'm looking for a place to surf, but when I return to a permanent residence, I will host.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

In February 2010, Phoebe and I were at the Yenshui Fireworks Festival in Taiwan. Racks of fireworks are constantly being set off - directly into the crowd. Everyone wears their motorcycle helmets, but you still manage to get burned a bit. The festival originated in the 1800's during a cholera epidemic that devastated the town, wiping out nearly all of its population. The fireworks are said to scare away evil spirits until next year's festival.
