Hi there!

My name is Jayme-Leigh. I'm a 32 year-old engaged female from Sudbury, Ontario (the "Land of Wild Blueberries" & the "Home of The Largest Nickel In The World!"), & I love meeting people from other places (villages, cities, towns, states, provinces, countries!) & learning about other cultures. I'm a big fan of nature & animals, of music & art, & of growing & cooking delicious things! I'm a freelance writer & painter, & I'm extremely looking forward to pursuing a degree in the field of anthropology within the next few years.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people (couchsurfers) while either hosting them at my apartment (it's not an enormous place, but it's clean, cozy & comfortable definitely has it's own charm), or, while being the couchsurfer myself, during my own future travels. The whole idea sounds like it could be a great adventure. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Such a hard question to answer! My favorite types of music: anything with great rhythm, feeling & soul, that makes me feel like singing &/or dancing. My favorite book(s) would have to be the stories of the detective Sherlock Holmes , written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. For movies, I really enjoy comedies, mysteries/thrillers, adventure/action, documentaries, live concerts.

I represented my entire school at a province-wide 'Young Authors Conference' when I was younger. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show a guest(s) around Sudbury if they would like (although I don't drive, so I take public transportation or use my legs, excercise is good for us & pollution isn't), I may possibly be able to teach them about camping needs/tips&/tricks to help prepare them if they're planning to go forth in to the great, legendary Canadian wilderness...I can share my culinary skills, my love of growing and eating healthy vegetables & fruits, I am able to teach a bit of basic guitar, keyboard, visual art techniques to anyone who wishes to learn, and I'm also able to help with English language or English writing skills for whatever reason (just for your daily conversation while travelling, or even for writing letters to your friends or loved ones back home in English!).
