Julie is a rock-climbing, froo-froo coffee loving creative spirit married to an analytical political junkie who with a penchant for photography. Together with our spunky toddler, we want to have adventures, see the world, experience other cultures and get some great pictures along the way.

Travel...but that's a given. Rock climbing and basketball, theological discussions over a homebrew, playing games with our 4-year-old and on really special occasions, finding time to read a good book.

Julie loves her old English novels like "Jane Eyre," and is fairly enamored with Robert Bringhurst's "Elements of Typographic Style." Jay, on the other hand, avoids books that don't talk about business, finance, travel, etc. We tried trading books once...it didn't work out so well. Our son is really big on the "5 Little Monkeys" and "Pete the Cat."

Saw every last inch of the 212 mile John Muir trail, shared a tuk tuk with a wild monkey, tracked down a lost laptop on a train in Vietnam, convinced numerous students to search the school for the elusive left-handed stapler and daily watch our son learn something new.
