About Me

CURRENT MISSION

They say you are what you eat, so my mission is to become a seasoned globetrotter by weaving and winding my way through all the gastronomical pleasures of this world, from the gourmet kitchens to the greasy spoons and back alleys

ABOUT ME

Three of these facts are true, but one is a lie. You will have to meet me to find out which one:
1. I love to cook and I'm excellent in the kitchen, but because I come from a long line of gourmet chefs, I am the worst cook in my family
2. I have a large tattoo of a mythical animal that I named Dr. Charles Drew, after the man who invented blood banks
3. I once caught a wild tarantula in Costa Rica and held it in my hand for about 3 minutes
4. I am a scientific expert on mosquitoes and how to catch them.

PHILOSOPHY

Love life and all the things in it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to couch surfing. I never heard about it until I started telling people that I was going backpacking in europe and maybe south east asia. Now I find there is a whole world of friends out there!

I used to host people (not through couchsurfing) who were looking for apartments. But now I know and I am so excited that this exists!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have now had several experiences as a couch surfer and they have been absolutely fantastic!! I am continually amazed at the generosity and hospitality shown to complete strangers (now friends for life) and I am determined to show the same down-to-earth warmheartedness that has been shown to me. Thanks to all the hosts out there!

Interests

Some of my hobbies are Hiking, Biking, Camping, Music, Cooking and Yoga. I like to spend my time both seeking adventures and savoring the small moments that make life wonderful.

Did I say cooking? I did? Well let me say it again. I love to cook. I will cook for you if you let me into your home, and it will damn good! If I do say so myself...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing moment would have to be hiking to the continental divide in Costa Rica, the highest point between the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean. The wind flew up the mountain side so sharply that all the trees grew sideways. It was amazing!

Another moment is while I was living in Richmond, Virginia. A friend and I walked to the middle of a railroad bridge and jumped off and plunged 40 feet below into the freezing James River. It was so exhilarating!

Countries I’ve Visited

China, Costa Rica, Ireland, South Korea

Countries I’ve Lived In
