Overview
About Me
I'm a soon to be student in education, my goal is to travel back to Japan where I did my senior year of high school and then perhaps to South Korea after I get my degree and teaching certification. Generally I'm very easy going, I spend my free time swimming, hiking, playing with oil pastels and singing in the shower. Until recently I waited tables in a sushi restaurant but I've been taking some of my summer to travel around the country more.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've heard great things from a lot of people, and it seems like an ingenious way to travel affordably and meet people.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a big fan of the Arctic Monkeys, Arcade Fire, Modest Mouse, Ratatat among others. Favorite movie of late would have to be Big Hero 6, but Muppet Weird Stuff takes the cake (nothing is better than Swedish Chef). I haven't been reading as much as I'd like these days, but Haruki Murakami's Wild Sheep Chase left quite an impression on me, I've been in the middle of Sputnik Sweetheart for a few months now though.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Went across the planet to live with strangers for ten months? Does that count?
