About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Raising our kids, finishing our house (will never be finished), planting trees, raising animals...
ABOUT ME
We are a transnational unit in the south western corner of Gaul, also known as Oc where people thrive on duck fat (but one of us is - almost - a veggie).
We can bore you to death on middle-eastern politics, but are willing and will enjoy talking about anything from reality-TV to the current state of the stock exchange (if you will explain it to us).
PHILOSOPHY
Life is a Cookie.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We are very bad couch hosts as we haven't updated this page for months, years, maybe more...Not that our door was closed but we are a little off the beaten track and we've been rebuilding after a fire. Mind you, tourists (german, dutch, british - even american!) do come to a nearby village and lake but they tend to camp with their fellow tourists). Anyway, now that we live on a farm in the middle of almost nowhere (or is it almost the middle of nowhere?) we could do with some help...I mean some company!
We are not really farmers and not labeled organic but if anyone likes the idea of woofing, we have a dog that likes it too, a few cats, chickens, sheep, a horse a vegetable garden and seven hectares of grass and woodland.
.We have space for several people - in mobile-home/yurt/camping and house - possibly sleeping with one/more other people, on mattress or bed and you can help us make more rooms for more guests!

Music, Movies, and Books
Films: The Princess Bride, Withnail&I, Red-riding hood (Soviet version), Frozen (this might change next "film day"), Muppets from space, Ace Ventura, Sherlock Holmes (BBC series)...
Music: Flamenco; Fado; Sailor songs; yiddish heavy metal; Tom Waits; punk; chanson; hip-hop; opera; ballet...
Books: The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists (it's always the first novel that springs to my mind if I ignore Noam Chomsky); The lady of the house is undecisive when it comes to books, because she is a snobby intellectual. The kids' tastes are eclectic.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
We're sure there is something, but we can't remember.
Teach, Learn, Share
"I know a song that gets on everybody's nerves" (repeat until it gets on somebody's nerves).
What I Can Share with Hosts
Lots of (outdoor) space, local food, games, fun conversation, work (that's bound to attract them!), walks etc.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Canada, Czech Republic, Egypt, Hungary, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Taiwan, United States
