About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to travel, to meet as many different people and I want to figure out where I'm going

ABOUT ME

Hey there, I'm Jordan. I'm a student in New Paltz, NY, studying journalism. I've been making vague, someday plans to travel and after getting turned down by an AmeriCorps internship this summer (which I thought was going to be my ticket to getting out to Colorado), I ended up here. I love people, I love learning about life through them and making connections so this seems pretty near perfect

PHILOSOPHY

I don't think that I could narrow my life into one philosophy. At this point, I just want to experience and feel a little bit of everything. I'm all about pushing yourself with uncertainty so that you can find the reward on the other side of the experience.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I live in a dorm room so I can't quite offer a couch, but for now I'd like to surf around and hopefully be able to return the favor in the future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None, can't wait to be able to have one!

Interests

I find my happiness in writing, running, singing, being outdoors and yoga.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really love indie music (Local Natives is my favorite band). Any type of acoutic-y, soul, upbeat, rock, electronic music genres in particular (I know, kind of vague).
I'm kind of bad with movies but my favorite is Into The Wild.
My favorite book is Running with Scissors and I've been reading a lot of Orwell lately.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This is literally the most cop out answer ever, but I don't have anything specific. I think the smallest things are amazing. A sunny day? I'm in bliss. I run a lot and adding an extra mile or two to my training gets me ecstatic. I think a lot of my relationships are amazing, people I respect, life in general? I should have something really specific and cool but I'll just acknowledge the accumulation of amazing little things in my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to write. I feel like I get very clumsy when I speak but I can pour out a letter to just about anyone. It's an absolutely beautiful knowledge (to express yourself in writing) and I would love to be able to spread that love to others. Even if it's just getting someone to keep a semi-regular journal, that would be so fulfilling.
