ABOUT ME

I am a soon-to-be college graduate with a future of teaching in Elementary Education. I love traveling and meeting people from different walks of life and I am a culture/history nut. I am currently living in Spain and love it here, but in September I will be taking off for a two and a half year stint teaching in Africa through the Peace Corps. I get very excited about languages, travel, children, adventures, and playing board games (Taboo anyone?)

I am currently couch-less but I would love to show someone around whatever city I happen to be in - Pamplona, Spain at the moment!

I just found out about CouchSurfing so I don't have any experience right now, but I am so excited about all the opportunities!

Interests

Live music, watching movies, learning languages, talking with kids, painting, eating yummy food, visiting new places, teaching, dreaming, reading, and so on and so on...I think I could get excited about anything!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love listening to almost all music, especially folk, world, country, and anything live. I am an avid movie watcher, especially if it is a quirky, inspiring, or romantic independent film or a war movie of any type. I read many types of books as well; my latest favorites include Kite-Runner, A Long Way Gone, and They Poured Down Fire on Us From the Sky. Old favorites include Matilda by Roald Dahl and Little Women by Louisa May Alcott.

Teach, Learn, Share

I speak English and Spanish and love learning new words in other languages! I love to cook and try different types of food, specific to certain regions or cultures; and I make a tasty homemade mac & cheese.
