We're Jazmin Lucero (24) and partner, Cory Hubert (28) from Long Beach, California in the USA. After graduating from CSU Long Beach in May 2018, I was accepted into the Corporate Communications fall program at the Danish School of Media and Journalism. Since undergrad was quickly coming to an end, Cory and I wanted to use this time as an opportunity to see the world. We decided to leave our lives in Long Beach behind and moved to Aarhus, Denmark.

We've lived in Denmark for the last six months now, but have struggled to find permanent employment because our Danish is very limited. Our visas will be expiring soon, which means we need to leave Denmark for now. We plan to keep travelling until our visit to the States in May 2019. Aside from being on a student budget, Cory and I think the best way to truly connect with people (from all over the world) is to engage with someone local to the area. This is both of our first time in Europe as well as the longest we've been outside our home country. Cory and I are just ready to explore and soak up the world around us.
