ABOUT ME
Hi, my name's Jazon. I'm a co-founder of a small software development company in Anchorage, Alaska that develops mobile apps, mostly for iPhone, iPad, etc.
One really neat thing about this job is that I'm able to work from just about anywhere I can find an internet or cellular connection.
So I decided that this summer I would hit the road in my car, starting from Anchorage, Alaska, and drive around the country, working from coffee shops and cafes while touring the local sights. And so far I've met some amazing people and am having a wonderful time :)
PHILOSOPHY
I'm one of those geeks who loves great quotes, and so I think I'll answer this with these:
"Once you make a decision, the universe conspires to make it happen" - R.W. Emerson
"To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield" - Ulysses
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Currently just hoping to find people kind enough to provide a place to sleep as I do my road trip across the US, and perhaps who might be interested in grabbing a drink or bite to eat while I'm there.
Once I get back to Alaska, I do have an extra bed at my place, so I'm looking forward to using CS to meet new people traveling through "the last frontier".
Interests
Just about anything geeky, including computers, mobile devices, programming, home theater etc. Also, automotive tech, motor sports in general including snowmobiling. And definitely music, you tend to listen to just about everything cruising down the road :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I love an extremely diverse set of music, ranging all the way from classical to modern pop. I especially have an affinity for jazz since playing trumpet in the jazz band in high school, and lately have found myself getting into a lot of electronic music.
In terms of movies and tv, tend to lean towards the geeky side, huge fan of Firefly and Serenity, Dollhouse, How I Met Your Mother, and Big Bang Theory to name just a few.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Well, I actually think what I'm doing now driving across the U.S. is one of the most amazing things I've attempted. But professionally, I and my company have been fortunate enough to get some local news press for our apps:

Teach, Learn, Share
I've gained a decent amount of experience in business and a ton in software development, and also know a fair bit about home theaters, as well as automotive mechanical. So if there's any helpful thoughts I might be able to share in any of those areas, please ask!
