About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To motivate and inspire people to live a more passionate and fufilled life
ABOUT ME
I'm a very laidback guy, who enjoys living life in the present moment. I enjoy a wide range of activities, including DJing, music composition and production, hockey, soccer; actually pretty much any sport I enjoy. I also spent alot of time outdoors; camping, hiking, wake boarding and tubing. I've yet to try sky-diving, bungee jumping and hang gliding, all of which are on the list!
I've spent the last 10 years working as an automotive mechanic, which has served me well. I'm now moving on to Music composition and production, which has been a hobby of mine for the past 5 years. I also plan on performing live DJ sets, and hope to use that as a catalyst for my trips around the world!
PHILOSOPHY
"Life isn't as serious as the mind makes it out to be."
"Be at least as interested in what goes on inside you as what happens outside. If you get the inside right, the outside will fall into place"
“Knowing others is intelligence; knowing yourself is true wisdom. Mastering others is strength; mastering yourself is true power. If you realize that you have enough, you are truly rich.”
“In dwelling, live close to the ground. In thinking, keep to the simple. In conflict, be fair and generous. In governing, don't try to control. In work, do what you enjoy. In family life, be completely present.”
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
This is my first time in a community such as this, and my first time heading out into the great wide world, so participation up to this point has been sorely lacking. However, I embrace the challenge of new experiences, and I am looking forward to meeting and sharing those good times with good people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2009 I was camping at a local lake in my home Province of British Columbia, Canada. From our camp site we could see directly down 3 valleys; each valley had it´s own storm funneling down it.
We decided to take the boat out to investigate the nearest one. We regretted it as the storm was quite intense, literally drawing a line in the lake separating the calm from the storm. We got back to our campsite in time for all three storms to collide directly above our camp.
We were treated to one of the greatest thunder and lightning storms of our lives, with forked lightning striking 360 degrees around us. The electricity raising the hairs on our neck and arms, the smell of ozone invading our noses. The 6 of us sat awestruck under a tarp, watching what we knew would be one of the greatest natural light shows we would ever see.
Teach, Learn, Share
Being a mechanic for 10 years, I could teach you how to maintain your car or truck at a fraction of the cost, and how to deal with Service Advisors and Mechanics at your local garage.
Having DeeJayed for the past 6 years, I could show you how to mix 2 songs together, how to count beats in relation to the song structure. I could also show you how to make your own beats, synths, melodies, and how to remix a song.
