I am originally from Seattle, but have spent the last 10 years in the San Francisco bay area, before moving to St. Louis the summer of 2014. Just an FYI, I have two cats and a dog. I've planned to host before and at the last minute run into the fact that my guests are allergic to cats and wanted to post this on my profile so this doesn't happen again.
