About Me

NEW cultures and new civilisations, to boldly go where.. oh wait, a little plagiarism there, but the principle is the same, love getting to know different perspectives and to grow my worldwide network of friendly souls :)

Well, I am a "true blood" Londoner (there are 7 of us) I have been to lots of countries on holiday and now quite experienced in Couchsurfing. I love to meet new people and to enjoy London through the eyes of a tourist, it's wonderful! I always have a joke and a laugh and willing to try new things, and even the same events can be a new experience with different people.

I think that we are all interconnected and have something to learn from each other... some of us need a few teachings to get the point :P I always find the positive in whatever the situation, there is always time for a joke and laugh no matter what, in fact, THE JOKE COMES FIRST :))))

I am quite empathic and believe that if you can help, you should, although I follow this imperfectly, the belief is sound. We are not meant to be alone so (queue MJ - You are not alone song) lets all just get along (or 'Get it On'... joke!)(see always times for a joke, inappropriate is my forte).

OK anything else, just meet me... although I tend to disappear visiting people like you that I have met over the years who have been kind enough to offer their hospitality and amazing personality.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well I occasionally host people from time to time and have met some really lovely people. I have hosted many times in spells of excitement, less so now, as I have made such nice friends. I like to help with advice too so we don't have lots of lost foreign puppies around London :)

It's been great so far, I've not had a bad experience, to date (May 15). I have made friends who have hosted me or surfed at my place, shared Christmas and New years, made new friends (upgraded from "just" CS friends), stayed in contact with them when they leave these shores and have started to visit now as well.

I love spiritual things like yoga (although it has been a long while since I went to a class) learning about all those kinds of things and philosophical discussions about any random things, love to learn about cultures and people in general and how we all interact. I tend to be less of a "do-er" but would certainly like to try these things out even if I am not necessarily a self-starter.

I enjoy shopping on Groupon (and many similar websites), so many cool things at the price they SHOULD ALREADY BE! Going out for coffee, Gelato, films ranging from romantic comedies, action, I love my sci fi (don't judge me), drama... well pretty much anything other than lame horrors.

I love going to out for coffee for a chat and exploring pockets of London. I know all the cheap deals as it can be expensive here. Some nice bars, going out to listen to live music, dancing the night away are things I enjoy but not all the time. A nice catch up in some cool pubs is good fun.

Support Newcastle United, so occasional football supporting in a pub with a girly cider is all good.

The main thing though, is it doesn't matter what you do or where you go just who you are with :))
(disclaimer: I still wanna go to some cool places)
