Overview
About Me
I enjoy traveling and meeting new people, sharing cultures, languages, local experiences. I like my CS host to be happy they hosted me and I try to be a great host. I am mostly retired from educational consulting - how to teach English Learners in the US. I practice Buddhist meditation and studied styles of massage. I love the beauty of the SF bay area, going to the gym, hiking, biking, restaurants, home cooking, watching Warriors basketball on TV, and I try to play golf.
I welcome international travelers, especially from Asia who are traveling solo.
I do NOT accept people who are just looking for a free place to sleep... that isn't the intention of CS.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
fun to be a host or visitor, live like the locals and go eat great food at "locals' restaurants." I like to show people the sites in San Francisco and around the SF bay area.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: contemporary jazz, meditation.
Books: Noble House, Tibetan Book of Living and Dying, The Happiness Hypothesis, and Radical Acceptance.
Movies: Avatar, Awakening and others that are original, unique, contain a great plot or message about life.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Did a GoFundMe for my Vietnam CS host to do his university club's charity project in a poor village.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like to exchange cultures, knowledge, travels, maybe a little language if time permits.
