About Me

learn more about minivans

I am a graduate of UNC's journalism school. I work at Groupon now, but I used to be a fun gypsy. I'm testing out being mostly vegan. I am a happy person. I hate cars. I want to sleep on your couch.

Godamnit, babies, you got to be kind-

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Pretty much not anymore. Lots of people treated us like a shitty hotel so we stopped hosting

guitar, banjo, books, brewing beer, sweating profusely, public transit, not necessarily in that order, I guess.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Johns Irving, Updike, Krakauer and Steinbeck, House of Leaves, Denis Johnson, Vonnegut, Hemingway, some Philip Roth, Cloud Atlas, Ishmael, some of the beats, Thomas Pynchon, Gore Vidal. Movies: I am a fanboy for anything Wes Anderson directed, Dark Days, Man on Wire.
Music: I am too capricious to pick anything that won't infuriate me next time I see my profile.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once helped John Cleese make a cheese tray for a party (not lying)

Teach, Learn, Share

I play banjo/guitar/harmonica and know all sorts of computer stuff. I can also cook you tasty food. I brew beer real decent like, too.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Belgium, Colombia, Denmark, Ecuador, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Mexico, Peru, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
