About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to devote every minute of every day to the perfection of whatever it is I pursue

ABOUT ME

Right now, I'm a 22 year old sculler, rigger, and sailing instructor at UC Irvine and Newport Beach. I graduated from UC Irvine in June 2011 (the best four years of my life). I'm trying my best to get into optometry school and become an optometrist.

I really enjoy bicycling, rowing, sailing, reading, and gaming (when I have time).

PHILOSOPHY

The most incredible thing in the world is to get up in the morning and commit every minute of the day to the perfection of whatever it is you pursue.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can't host anyone myself, because I live in a four person apartment, but I can be among the most pleasant of guests!

Interests

Rowing, Sailing, Swimming, Bicycling, Reading, and Gaming are all hobbies of mine. I prefer the single scull, group sailing, distance swimming, biking to save fuel and the environment, science fiction/fantasy novels, and all kinds of video games.

Music, Movies, and Books

Fantasy and Science Fiction movies and books are more my speed than anything else. As for music, my taste is pretty eclectic: jazz, classical ensemble, chamber ensemble, rock, country, etc. All genres have good tunes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've rowed in club nationals in Gainesville, Georgia.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can offer some of my stories, give a sculling lesson, help sail a larger boat, paint any flat surface (I'm a very good painter), or just cut wood. Helping others do something difficult give me a great satisfaction.
