About Me

CURRENT MISSION

the point in life is life (Goethe) ...and I agree with it!

ABOUT ME

I'm tall, slim, medium long curly grey hair, blue eyes, for the rest well...check it out!

PHILOSOPHY

Lead, follow, or get out of the way.
(Thomas Paine)
...I'm more on the "get out of the way" type as I'm having a hard time to lead or follow... :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Been hosting since 2006 and always, I mean always, had great and special encounters!

Interests

Motorbike, mountain bike, ski, wingfoil, windsurfing, travel, history, music (I play violin, welllll....I'm trying to...)

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm not going to movies, or read books to search for anything specific but to be surprised, to discover and to find out how little I know about the world, about us human beings, about me... there is though one movie that I would recommend: "American Beauty"

Music: ProgRock, blues, Rock, folk-rock (check: www.oroc.ch)

Books: "God is not great! How religion poisons everything " from the much regretted Christopher Hitchens. So "believers" are welcome to discuss how true the title of the book is ;-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Paragliding: over the lake of Geneva, in Rio de Janeiro, on the shores of Lima. Sky diving in Western Australia. Fresh snow skiing in what they call champagne powder snow in Steamboat, Colorado, USA.

Teach, Learn, Share

Would like to play violin and use drones better...

Having traveled a bit I can give you some tips about packing a 1 (yes one) cabin size luggage to go round the world (as I did in 2017).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can show you the area and tell you a bit of it's history but for that matter check the references I got from people I hosted so far.
