About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Stay awake

ABOUT ME

I grew up in a small town in Wyoming and moved to Boston to go to college at MIT. Although I love being in the middle of nowhere without a soul around the city has its charms as well, every place does, and so I like here as much as I did back home. I grew up in an artist family and so I know a little about a lot of crafty type things. Metal casting, ceramics, drawing, sculpting, painting, you name it, I can probably parrot out a vocabulary word or two. I've never been out of the country before but this Saturday (May 23) I'm leaving for France for a week because I can, and May 30 I'm going to China to teach English and Cooking Chemistry to high school students there. I'll be back in the U.S. sometime in late August.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life because I am not dead, its not really a choice is it?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't yet but I'm working on that. I'll try to meet some new people in France and China and although I only have a small dorm room in Boston it will be open for people who need it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Probably the most typically amazing thing I've seen is the seemingly infinite number of mountain peaks standing up out of the clouds in the Wind River Range. You get to the top of some mountain and the peaks spread on forever, there is no other side. Also, although not amazing or unique in any way, the first time I saw New York I was floored by how unreal it is and I suspect that that image won't be overpowered any time soon.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Carving, metal casting, pottery, mechanics of materials, piano moving

Learn: Languages (any), more about any of the above, how to wire a house, make a guitar, play the guitar, be good
