Hello ... over the years I have been a teacher, adult educator, production assistant, events organiser, artist and author. I am now retired and living in a two-bedroomed flat in Folkestone, on England's south coast. Folkestone is a great place to live, with lots going on, especially in the arts. There is fabulous walking along the beautiful coast, and it's also close to some great places on interest, including the world heritage site of Canterbury. Folkestone is also just 50 minutes by fast train from London.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I love travelling and also meeting interesting people. When I was working I could afford some pretty expensive adventures, but now I've retired my means are modest. I'm hoping to meet people, preferably around my own age, who would like to stay with me in Folkestone, either as a one-off stay, or perhaps as part of a longer trip to the UK. I'm also interesting in staying with people, again around my own age, in other parts of the world. I'm particularly interested in other parts of the UK and Europe, but willing to consider anywhere ...
