I'd try anything once, and I did. And I'm just coming out of a idiocy-induced stupor...yes, caused by that try-anything-once nonsense too. So I'm trying to get out of it.
I love the indoors - libraries, music stores, museums and cafes - as much as I love nature - camping outdoors, climbing mountains, swimming in a lake and stargazing. I can easily live without the Internet, although I must say there's a lot of good stuff.
I'm outgoing and friendly but it takes me a while to open up. I'm open-minded but I know what I like. I'm opinionated but I am not talkative and I won't push an idea unless you get argumentative for the sake of it. I can get pretty intense but I don't wallow. And when I get excited, I get REALLY excited...e.g. when I'm playing Cranium. And there's always a book in my bag cos I don't find people-watching that interesting.
Live and let live. I live life on my own terms. If you don't bother me, I don't bother you.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Haven't been travelling for a few years because of circumstances and want to get back into it! :)
Tallinn and St Petersburg...was with a friend and loved it!
Plotting how to climb to the top of mountains, visit bat-caves, raft in as many rivers as possible / Attending concerts and plays / Visiting museums/ Singing with my choir / Reading as many books as I possibly can / Volunteering / Exploring everything and everywhere I don't know / Spreading positive energy ... but right now, I'm training for my first half-marathon and wondering if anyone likes flying foxes as much as I do.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Peter Carey, Jeanette Winterson, Oscar Wilde, Jose Saramago, Rainer Maria Rilke, ee cummings, As Byatt, Douglas Adams, PG Wodehouse, Tom Holt, Terry Pratchett, Dorothy Parker, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Salman Rushdie, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Pablo Neruda...sorry I gotta go to my bookshelf to take a look.
Anything indie (Two Door Cinema, Bombay Bicycle Club, the bands with three words in their names...), anything quirky, anything jazz (Thelonius Monk, Charlie Parker, Ella Fitzgerald etc.), anything British (what a sexy accent..you know what? Make that anything European) ... food - anything super super spicy like that Szechuan mala hotpot thing...oh, and I love ribs and burgers and chicken wings...using bare hands to eat is underrated. I love Japanese, Thai, Italian ...
