ABOUT ME

Spontaneous traveler who recently left Hong Kong, making my way across the U.S. and headed towards Portland! I guess I'm a free spirit of sorts. Sometimes I believe the only way to move forward is to take a leap of faith. It may be scary, but I try to jump into things as fearlessly as I can. I grew up in a small town in the rural south and had every reason to believe that I would never leave until I decided on a whim to quit my 9-5 job of 2 years and move to Hong Kong. Ever since taking that chance I've had the opportunity to work and film and do things that I didn't think were possible. I've met and made lifelong friends all over the world and even though life isn't as stable as it was when I was getting a regular paycheck, it's much more exciting!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm planning a 3,000 mile trip across the U.S., can't wait to see the great midwest and travel across the country! I love meeting new people, especially travelers, sharing stories, sharing moments and making new friends wherever I go! I'll be traveling through 12 states in 8 days and hope to make the most of my trip and see as many things and meet as many people as I can before I make it to Portland! It's strange how you can live in a country your whole life and yet still not have seen most of it.

Interests

Film, photography, pinterest, skating (roller derby + learning how to skateboard), food, moscato, meeting new people, trying new bubble tea joints, collecting craft brewery growlers.

I'm also trying to learn the guitar (at a snail's pace) and think people who play fiddles are pretty cool too.
