I am a Married Christian. Mother of three grown children, and Grandmother of 5. We live on a mountain top in the Ozark Mountains in North West AR. We are a hop skip an a jump away from the famous Buffalo river, Horseshoe Canyon, Kile's Landing, Steel Creek, Branson and Beaver Lake. There are endless hours of hiking, boating, swimming, canoeing, camping just minutes from our door. We live by combining survival with sustainability. We live on very little income. We have a 100 x 70' garden that needs help. There is much to do around our ranch and we are always welcoming boondockers and woofers to come stay in exchange for a sweet nights rest, fellowship and the great outdoors. We have a permanent FEMA Camper that we have spruced up, and rent out to weekend guests. (we are looking for an electrician to run a designated electric line). We call it the bunk house. If you are interested in seeing how rural America lives- we are your choice. We have 60 foot bluffs on our property for beginning climbers and rapellers. (bring you own equipment). I love to sing, paint, woodworking, camping, and design. I host local Painting parties in our community.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I need to find a place to stay in OKC. My daughter recently underwent a premature delivery of a 2 lb baby girl who is in NICU at the OU Med Children's Hospital in OKC. I have been taking care of her 4 boys since July 6th over 5 hours away. They miss their mommy and she misses them. Ronald McDonald house refuses to take the whole family. So we are in search of a place to stay near the hospital. But I am also interested in Culture and Hosting. I'm just not available right now as I am taking care of my grandchildren.

Music, Movies, and Books

Christian Contemporary Worship Music is my top Choice. I am a worshiper and have been singing since I was 2 years old. I do like books, but find very little time to read. So the Bible and Christian are my first choices. I love watching movies. But wont watch anything with foul language or horror. I prefer movies with personal interest, adventure, romance, sci-fi, comedy, and Christian films.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Was a Missionary Physical Therapist Assistant on board the Mercy Ship Anastasis in the Dominican Republic working side by side on a hospital Ship with over 20 different nationalities.
