Overview
About Me
We are in fact two: Jeanne and Paméla. We both live near Montreal, in Quebec, Canada. We've traveled a bit these past few years, including a three weeks humanitarian trip to Peru and a two weeks trip to Costa Rica for a biology class. Jeanne also lived in France for a year and a half during her childhood and went back with her family four years ago. Paméla traveled several times to Colombia, where her family, on her mother's side, is from. She also visited Germany and Italy. We also both visited several cities in the USA. We want to travel as much as possible while we still have time, meaning before university. We absolutely love discovering different cultures and places and we are very open-minded people who are always eager to learn and meet new people.
We enjoy things like camping or hiking and are willing to try (almost) anything, whether it's food or activities.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We are looking to not only visit new places but also learn about different cultures and meet people. We think a wonderful way to do that is by really immersing yourself in the culture of the country or city you visit, and that is best done by talking to and learning from locals.
**We know we don't have any references but please read our profile before declining a request, after all, everybody has to start somewhere:)
Interests
- traveling
- music
- learning languages
- food and cooking
- sport (any kind really)
Music, Movies, and Books
We enjoy alternative, classical music and old rock but we are not big on pop music. We really like "educational" or "based on true event" kinds of movies or anything that makes us learn something, such as "Forest Gump" or "Lion".
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
We went together on many different trips, but something we are really proud of is our three weeks humanitarian trip to Peru back in 2014. We had the chance to help various organizations in the village we were staying at, such as an orphanage, a school for special needs children, various primary and secondary schools, as well as a nursing home. It was a really gratifying trip.
Teach, Learn, Share
We can teach French, English and even Spanish (Paméla is better). We are also fairly good cooks and would be happy to cook with or for you.
We would love to learn new languages or anything about your culture and history.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We love to share our experiences and simply discuss any kind of topic.
