ABOUT ME

I'm a young American academic who loves languages, good food, and giant dogs. (Mind you I don't HAVE a giant dog, because my cat calls the shots in our household.) Things I do not love include eating alone every night and drinking in my room, so help a girl out! I'm friendly and funny--I think so, anyway--and looking to make new friends in the places I'm fascinated by (especially Africa and Russia).

New to CouchSurfing and not actually looking to host or surf--just want to meet locals, fellow travelers, and perhaps return the favor back home.

I've been known to skip big cities and head for the small ones, especially if there are goats or vineyards involved. I can consume obscene amounts of New Haven pizza and South African olives.
