Since childhood, I have been enjoying outdoor activities from water sports (eg. canoe- and kayak-camping), winter sports (eg. ski, skating), and mountaineering (eg. trekking, climbing). Also, I love birdwatching. Simply put I love being in Nature. Accordingly, I value wildlife and the environment.

Unsurprisingly as a Couch Surfer, I love to travel, explore, and discover. And I have a broad spectrum of interests.

It is an amazing way of getting in touch with new people. Before the founding of CS, I was involved in a similar network called Servas International. Back then, I stayed in Russia and Poland with local hosts. This positive experience led me to register to Couchsurfing.

MUSIC: very eclectic tastes from Jazz and classical music to electro, Latin, pop and more...

CINEMA: I love cinema. To name a few directors, Wong Kar Wai, Terry Gilliam, Stanley Kubrick, Tim Burton, and Ken Loach would be on the list. And regarding genre, I have a soft spot for sci fi, fantasy, animation and feel-good movies in general.

LITERATURE: Reading is a balm to the soul... therefore the best book is the one right next to me. And the more the better... A few authors: Rejean Ducharme, Milan Kundera, Albert Camus, Jon Krakauer, Jack Kerouac...
