An independent thinker who enjoys digging deeply into subjects, and often changes opinions as he learns more. Dedicated to sustainability including small scale organic farming and low impact transportation. IT pro with a focus on open source solutions with many years of GNU/Linux experience. Early true fan supporter of the OpenSourceEcology.org project (which has since gained sugnificant TED recognition).

Intereses

Bicycle commuting including hybrid technologies, hiking the Sierra Nevada mountains with my family (not often enough), figuring out how to live simply in a complex world.

Sendai Japan as exchange student in 1993, Hetch Hetchy resivoir in Yosemite last year, too many other parks, hikes, and places across the country including peaks and valleys on Hawaii to list quickly here. Lucky to have so many great experiences in retrospect.
