I am Jerry. Some call me Jed. Jed is short for JEDII, those are my initials.
My personal philosophy? In short, I don't know... yet.
I like to live my life with an open mind. I believe that power corrupts and that corruption is behind the philosophies that many people follow today. I want to go back time (figuratively, of course), and discover the roots of today's religions and seek common ground. I'm kind of into Secular Humanism right now.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Currently work has me in Kuwait. It's not a place I'm going to recommend people come visit, and I live in company housing so I can't offer up a couch. I'm up for coffee, supper, long walks on the beach or even weekend trips to Bahrain, Egypt, UAE...
As far as CouchSurfing, I met up with some people at a hookah lounge. Outside of CouchSurfing, I've been involved in several communities and met many wonderful people though the internet. I've road-tripped across the US and Canada and stayed with friends whom I had not personally met before and shared hotel rooms with near strangers.
I have many interests including, but not limited to: rock climbing, yo-yos, juggling, traveling, philosophy, movies, consumer electronics, cooking, eating... I don't eat meat, however.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love movies. I can sit down and watch anything, I'll laugh, I'll cry, I'll.. I usually don't get scared. Moulin Rouge is my favorite, many more spanning many genres follow close behind.
I really like singer/songwriter types for music, but I listen to anything until it's overplayed (sometimes it only takes about 3 seconds).
I have a passion for books on philosophy and religion, but I won't turn down a good fantasy/sci-fi book either.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I stopped eating meat. In the beginning, I got involved in the veg movement, went to rallies and conventions. The compassion I saw in many people was awe-inspiring. I was never at their level, but it truly was amazing to see these people pour everything into a seemingly fruitless cause and get amazing results.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've taught several people how to juggle. I've helped people improve on their rock climbing skills. I'd love to learn about peoples beliefs and cultures. I also kind of want to learn archery and break-dancing.
