About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make the most out of life. Make movies. Write. Travel.

ABOUT ME

I'd like to say I'm laid back, but I'm really not. I do things. I don't really need a lot of premeditation to get something done: once an idea pops into my mind, I engage action mode :)

I recently decided against continuing with my post-secondary education in order to pursue my career. I run my own wedding film business, and it's been going really well for me. I do not regret my decision in the least bit!

I mostly reply to people in song... I have an uncanny gift for pulling circumstantial, content-appropriate music out of my rear.

PHILOSOPHY

Do your best and forget the rest.

Interests

Filmmaking!!! Photography. Writing. Video games. Coffee. FOOD!!! :D I like hanging out at eateries and watching live shows. Music! I especially love to tell/hear stories and have a good conversation.

My ideal hangout situation is to have a bowl of popcorn in my lap alongside someone who enjoys watching movies, watching a movie. Movie nights are the best.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is the most important thing in my life. Every day has its own soundtrack. A few absolute favourites: Muse, Florence + the Machine, Damien Rice, Angus & Julia Stone, the XX, Jack Johnson, Bedouin Soundclash... man, it goes on and on. Oh, and I'm really into Bossa Nova right now... yup, cool.

A few movies I enjoy: Closer, Midnight in Paris, Amélie, Mighty Aphrodite, English Patient, Incendies, I Love You Man, basically any Woody Allen film, foreign movies, Chinese martial arts movies, samurai themed movies... yeah, a whole lot.

As for books, sheesh, um, my favourite book is Ham on Rye by Charles Bukowski, who is also, incidentally, my favourite author. A few others include: Invisible Monsters by Chuck Palahniuk, Death with Interruptions by José Saramago, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson, and the Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins. Anything by Fernando Pessoa. I don't discriminate. I like a whole lotta books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bungee jumped! :D
