About Me
Hey I'm new to cs so I basically know nothing. I'm from Seoul, South Korea and I'm doing an exchange here in Scotland for a year. I worked so hard to earn this year 😂 and now I'm having so much fun! Plus this is my first time ever in Europe so I'm looking forward to visiting all those places.
Future plans:
April: London, Netherlands, Munich
June: London, Portugal, Spain, Italy, France
December: Going back to Korea
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Why wouldn't I! I heard only the best things about Couchsurfing: how it's the best way to get the full, rich experience and meet local people.
-
When I was younger I thought I didn’t like traveling. However, I soon realized what didn’t like was doing tours with just sightseeing only. I want to really get immersed into the culture there and meet new people there.
-
I've lived in Arizona, US for a year as an exchange student as well. I loved it which is why I've decided to do another year abroad in UK! Learned that meeting different people around the world enriches your life and deepens your thoughts.
Interests
Currently I major in management and minor in psychology. My major used to be design just because it seemed fun. However it turned out I really had no talent so I quickly switched. But I still love all the artsey stuff!

Music, Movies, and Books
1. I'm never picky about music so I often put on radio, spotify or NPR (All Songs Considered). Love pop, hip-hop, rock, indie, acoustic and old pop. Right now my favorite artist is Big Thief. I went to a live music pub for the first time here in Glasgow and I absolutely loved it. Please put on some of your favorite song, whether it's pop or indie, and let me discover more good songs around the world!! x

2. For books I love classic literature, ones you read in your literature classes. I usually read in Korean but sometimes I read fictions in English.
-
3. Some of my favorite movies are: La La Land, Memories of Murder(Korean), Silver Linings Playbook, Lust Caution, and Inside Out (Who doesnt love Disney). I love watching films both in cinema or at home.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've now read tons of profiles and I am certainly not the craziest person here. I’m sometimes quiet, lazy and calm. As much as I love clubbing and jumping around, I love to write, chat and sleep in. Yet I’m always optimistic!
👉In Arizona, I went camping to a desert. We had to bring a bunch of water with us, pee behind some cacti and watch out for scorpions. I taught my friends how to play Korean card games at our tent. At night we looked into the sky; gazed at the stars. It was one of the unforgettable moments in my life.
👉I went to Thailand as a member of delegation so I got to visit places like UN; have interviews and all that. But what I remember the most is playing drinking games with students at Chulalongkorn Uni… Lots of vodka ;)
👉In Indonesia, I home-stayed for a week. I had bath with icy cold water from the valley every morning, painted the community center and taught them how to dance k-pop. I worked hard but I got fat nonetheless because those home-cooked dishes was amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
Please put on some of your favorite local songs, recommend some of your favorite local restaurant/cafe or whatever! I would love to take a little walk if you're down, or I would go to a pub/bar and have a pint together(I’m not a heavy drinker. I can have fun without getting drunk😉)

Although I'd love to spend time with you, I love traveling by myself as well. So you don't have to be my travelbuddy the whole time I won't cry ;P

If you have any questions about Korea I'd love to answer. I'd sing along K-Pop songs with you if you're possibly a fan? Haha I could teach you basic Korean and how to write your name in Korean, it's going to be cool :D ah also I'm trying to pick up Scottish?! Lol No it's horrible, don't learn it from me..
What I Can Share with Hosts
My English isn't perfect but it's to an extent that we could have a nice fun chat!
P.s. I’ve been living in dorms for 7 years consecutively: 2-person room for a year; 4 for three years; 3 for two years and a twin again right now. So I shouldn’t be that bad with respecting others whom I share a room with.
