Overview
About Me
I earn my living translating German technical/corporate documentation into English, mostly for the chemicals industry. I live in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with my wife and 2 children.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've had great experiences with Airbnb, and Couchsurfing seems like the next step in the transition away from impersonal hotel/motel culture and really experiencing the places I visit. Look forward to hosting too (but that will require a full family vote)
Interests
I love foreign languages and living/traveling abroad, even though I haven't done much of that since settling in Ann Arbor 15 years ago to start a family (but it's a great place to spend a rooted portion of your life). Now that my kids are more independent (10 and 14), I'm itching to learn a new language and culture.
I also really enjoy cycling and I have taken a few great tours.
