I just moved to Italy on June 8th for a new job. I am an avid traveler and over the last 5 years I have lived in Munich, Germany and the UK as well. Although I am American, I have always been more interested in the European lifestyle which is why I am here.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

It was actually my Italian Friend's idea as the CS community has a lot of English speakers (This is key as I come up to speed on my Italian :). I will be living in Lainate until July 1st & then moving to my apartment in Milan. I am hoping to make friends and learn about my new city as I wait to move.

Intereses

My biggest passions are Photography and Traveling which are quite complementary. I can't wait to explore the Dolomites more this summer along with the many amazing cities/landscapes nearby.

Música, películas y libros

I was just at Rock im Park in Nuremberg to see some great bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Deftones, Disturbed, Black Sabbath etc. Some of my other favorite bands are Tool, Queens of the Stone Age along with some less heavy stuff like Pink Floyd, Arcade Fire, Radiohead, Spoon, Ben Howard etc.

Camped in the Venezuelan Jungle at the base of the worlds tallest Waterfall (Angel Falls).

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I am interested in meeting new people (expats or locals) and learning about the food and local customs. I want to see the hidden gems of the city that tourists miss. I like to eat out and get drinks so I want to discover where people go to have fun. I am starting Italian courses soon so it will be good to practice a bit.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I am an outgoing and social person so hopefully you gain a friend. I am happy to do language exchanges for those who want to practice their English. I can maybe give you a bit of insight into what is happening in the US, although even I don't understand what is happening with Trump ( I hate him!!).
