ABOUT ME

I'm an Alaskan living in Melbourne, AU. I'm quietly enjoying every day, finding new ways to spend my time as a college drop out.

I live in Thornbury, Victoria and am a pretty happy resident. 20 minutes from the city and far enough away from Northcote I can avoid the soccer mums.

I did a year of journalism in school and didn't enjoy it. I'm trying to find a way to stay in Australia for a bit longer.

I'm a vegan.

I spend too much time on the internet. I spent a bit of my free time doing volunteer stuff for a couple of small radical groups in Melbourne. Most of it though is spent with friends or going to shows. I roast coffee at home and am generally somewhat of an elitist dickhead about it.

I'm hoping to host when I get a friendlier living situation.

Aside from that I'd like to meet new people while I'm off in new places.

I'm really keen on web design, or most things design in general. I have a pretty good handle on CSS and HTML and am moving on to teaching myself Javascript and Illustrator, I hope to go back to school for communication design and make a career out of myself in that.

I'm really politically active, and especially active in a small trade union I'm a part of, the ASF-IWA.

Huge on coffee.

Anything public radio. Wiretap and This American Life are my favourite shows.

I'm big on all things food, beer, cider, and gin.

Craft beers rule, there's nothing quite like having a bag full of beers you've yet to try before in your life.

Books... Anything by Noam Chomsky or George Orwell. Most of my books seem to come from AK Press nowadays.
