Lots of New York Knowledge, specifically about affordable food. Also hanging out! I'll have a new apartment in Brooklyn in June, hopefully these roommates will be ok with me hosting some travelers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had some great times in Minneapolis, Chicago, and Milwaukee on a megabus trip from New York across the midwest!

The first time I saw New York. 17 years old, from the middle of nowhere in Florida. As soon as I stepped off my first flight on that chilly March day I knew I was stepping into a place I would inhabit as soon as I could find the means. The next week only solidified my resolve; biting wind, subway rats, curt locals and all. 7 years passed and I was here. Now I am enveloped by the culture of these islands.

I can teach guitar, voice, and realistic drawing and painting. I often hear people say that they "have no artistic/musical talent." I firmly believe that these fields are teachable and are far more rooted in interest than in any sort of inherited talent.
