ABOUT ME

All about me, ....

I currently work at the Institute for Quantum Computing of the University of Waterloo. Given my background, I am probably the researcher of this wonderful institution who knows the least about quantum physics :(

Prior to achieving this long term career "goal", I was raised in the French Alps, then I went to University in Paris.

After that, I worked a bit for the University of Sydney (New South Wales), then worked for the University of Calgary (Alberta).

Then, I worked for a bit in France for the governement, didn't like it, and came back to Calgary.

Now they have no more money for me in Calgary, so I recently moved to Waterloo where they can afford paying me to work on not-so-applied topics.

The upside of all this is that I get to travel a lot. The downside is that ... I travel a lot.
Still, for work I managed to get sent to a whole bunch of amazing places :
Chili, Australia, Korea, California, Italy, Tahiti (true story)....
That part is pretty cool !

Don't let people make you give up on your dreams (for everything I've done, there's always been someone to tell me I would -miserably- fail).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For now my participation is restricted to the surfing part of CS since I have been bouncing from place to place, never really having an actual home (cf section "all about you").

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am very knew to CS. I used it once, to stay in Waterloo ON for a few days, and it went great.

Interests

I play *a lot* of tennis, and I practice social dance (mostly latin and swing dance). I recently started performing.

Aside from that, I enjoy outdoor activities, in particular skiing, but also surf/windsurfing, diving hiking ...

Cooking is another thing I like. If you want to share a meal, I am your man.
