About Me

Sure, here's your text with corrected grammar:

I love meeting people. On most of my trips, I happen to travel by myself for various reasons. Mostly because my friends don't share the same passion for visiting different countries without much planning, and of course, most of them are committed with kids and/or partners. I am a lifelong traveler who has learned to adjust to different situations when traveling. I've slept in a few high-end places (just happened, not that I can afford it), but mostly in dorms, sometimes with local families, and once in a monastery. I have learned to adjust to many situations, especially when things don't turn out as planned.

Couchsurfing is relatively new to me. I have been hosted by people before, but we knew each other beforehand. It was only by chance that one of my friends told me about Couchsurfing and how it could suit me, especially now that I am traveling throughout Central and South America and beyond for several months. I created a profile, and here we go. I am a 40-year-old guy from Malta 🇲🇹🇪🇺 whose aim is to explore new countries, meet new people, learn new things, and most importantly, live in the moment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am couchsurfing to immerse myself in local cultures, meet new people, and enjoy cost-effective travel. This approach not only allows me to build a global network of friends and connections but also provides unique experiences and insights that traditional accommodations can't offer. By staying with locals, I gain firsthand knowledge of their traditions and daily lives, pushing myself out of my comfort zone and fostering personal growth. Through couchsurfing, I aim to explore new countries, learn new things, and live in the moment while traveling across Central and South America.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all type of music. When I am on my own I put my headphones on and listen to various music, I mostly listen music thru sound cloud and always search for new podcasts. Other times when I just want to chill or sleep I go mellow and prefer some classic tunes and when I am in the mood of partying I listen to some techno :-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Camping in the Himalaya mountains in Kashmir, India, for a week. Trekked through the mountains in rigid temperatures, saw exotic wildlife, and experienced many beautiful sunrises and sunsets from the peaks. Another beautiful experience I am proud of is climbing Mount Batur in Bali, watching the sunrise while having breakfast and meditating.
