Hi everyone :D ,

My name is Jeffrey, I currently live in Richfield, Minnesota and work in banking.

I would describe myself as very shy and reserve but also very intelligent and curious. I have had the opportunity to visit Colombia where my mother and father are from many times as a kid and this sowed the seed for my curiousity. While studying for my bachelors degree I had the chance to study abroad in Taiwan for a whole year. I look back at this time and think they were some of the best times of my life so far, I really want to try to relive or recapture that magic I had back then.

I grew up in Sanford, N.C. a small farming town where I did things such as hunting, hiking, and hunting fireflies. I come from a simple upbringing living with just my mother and little sister but I have ambition to make something of my life.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

The main reason I'm couchsurfing is to meet friends and travel hosts. For me, it is not about having a place to stay. I can easily pay for a hotel or hostel but I really want to make connections with people and experience life with them.

Before I left to live in Taiwan as an exchange student I had the honor of meeting a Taiwanese family in Taipei. They hosted me for a month and they became my family and I became like their son. We went to the south for Chinese New Year and got to see how Taiwanese people live. Even after I moved away we stay in touch and visit each other all the time. This kind of experience is impossible to get from a hotel and hostel.
