About Me

Just wandering around the world looking to enjoy all that life has to offer. I've probably been more places overseas than I've been in the States, but this seems like it may be changing soon, as I've been on a bit of a road trip the last two or so weeks!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Looking for places to stay on s trek across the country. I'm looking to make it to Pagosa Springs, Colorado and Chino Valley, Arizona so that I can visit local Buddhist centers. I'm thinking of biking across the country and will likely be making my own bike-pulled live-in airstream trailer out of mostly corrugated plastic and zip ties.

Interests

Love/compassion, empathy, listening, generosity, morality, patience, diligence, concentration, wisdom, study/contemplation, social change/justice, being environmentally conscious and vegetarian.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Survived a Himalayan winter (despite being a Floridian), and lived at a monastery in India which stopped having running water for 3 months, during which time I had to fetch water from up the hill and across the street and lug it back down the hill and up several flights of stairs.

Then there was the time I lugged probably 60+ lbs of bags up mountain trails to the monastery at night for approx 6 hrs because the buses stopped running from Chamunda to Dar...

Teach, Learn, Share

Have some crazy travel stories from overseas, and am pretty much an open book, so please feel free to approach me and strike up a conversation! Willing to teach a little bit of Dharma and what Tibetan language I know, too, but only if you're interested. I'm not out to convert anyone, and know how annoying that can be. I'm just trying to live life to the fullest!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Funny stories, crazy travel tales from abroad, what little knowledge of Tibetan language and Buddhism I have if you care to pick my brain about it.

Countries I’ve Visited

Egypt, India, Israel, Italy, Nepal, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, Vatican City State
