Overview
About Me
I love being outdoors. Whether I'm riding my bike to school, snowboarding or skiing, hiking around in wilderness, skateboarding, or swimming, I am stoked!
I can work hard or study every day, but I must make some time to go out and dance, otherwise I feel incomplete.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to visit places new to me, and I am interested in meeting locals at least as much as I am in just being in a particular place. I feel that couchsurfing will afford me the opportunity to get to know people who live where I want to go. Surely I will learn more about vacation destinations than I would by staying at a hotel, though I do not imagine everybody here wants to be a tour guided every single time a visitor comes along!
Interests
I love love love skiing and snowboarding, walking, dancing, bicycle riding, traveling, reading, the occasional movie outing, and cooking and baking.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like to listen to several types of electronic music, reggae, funk, hip-hop (maybe a bit of R&B, even), and spoken word such as stand-up comedy. My favorite movies include In Bruges, Fight Club, Delicatessen, The Princess Bride, and Tombstone. I've really enjoyed most of Tom Robbins writing, especially Still Life With Woodpecker, Villa Incognito, and Half Asleep in Frog Pajamas. One of my favorites ever was A Confederacy of Dunces, by John Kennedy Toole. I loved several books by Chuck Palahniuk: Survivor, Invisible Monsters, Choke, Fight Club, Rant, Lullaby. Walter Wangerin, Jr. wrote a couple books that I read and re-read: The Book of the Dun Cow, and The Book of Sorrows. I recommend all of these!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I like to join the Polar Bear Club for an annual plunge into Storrie Lake, which freezes over by Jan 1st, when we break a hole in the ice with a front loader and jump from a boat dock into the cold water. It's quite the refreshing thing to do on New Year's Day, at noon!
Teach, Learn, Share
I aim to be a nutritional advisor one day, so I love to learn about food preparation and new ideas about health.
