Hello! My name is Jeff. I used to work as a paramedic in Detroit, MI and I am now taking a break from my career to travel around the world. I am a year into my travels and so far I have lived in Seattle and Maui. My next stop is Asia and I am going to spend some time in Portland to save up some money. I have done several work exchanges with helpx.net and I have lived and worked in two different hostels. I love practicing yoga and meditating. I love listening to blues and rock. I am currently reading the Hidden Life of Trees, but I am not as much of an avid reader as I used to be. I don't really watch many movies but I like comedy and adventure.

One of the most amazing things that I have seen and done is when I did a hike at the summit of Rainbow Mountain in Peru. The peak is at 17,000 ft. and it was one of the most breathtaking views I have ever seen in my life. As the snow melted years ago the rocks were exposed to the air and changed colors. There are bands of reds, greens, and blues that stretch down one of the peaks. I hope to revisit it one day. Peru is a beautiful and magical place.
